This is an amazing pattern resource for all types of Hanfu. It should be noted here that this resource is to learn to make a pattern to fit your own personal size measurements. If you are looking for an actual pattern to cut from, this booklet is not for you.I found that while learning to use my own measurements as a guide, I am able to use the skills I have learned to create other patterns. This is an awesome thing to discover as a new pattern maker.Although, the dress of Hanfu may seem basic in nature, Hanfu is much more. It is a methodically thought out set of layered clothing that has a precise way it is measured, cut and sewn together. The patterns for Hanfu may appear basic to the advanced seamstress but, if you want to make it as traditional as possible, there is a more correct way of creating a pattern, cutting the fabric and sewing the garments together.I am truly excited about this book. Now my goal is to take these traditional patterns and convert them to something that is more wearable (for everyday) i.e. using stretch fabric containing rayon, bamboo, lycra, elastin etc. as opposed to using 100% silk or cotton. This will take some pattern adjustments but, I am eager and up for the challenge.Because, this book is based on math, the Kindle version will save you money and time (to get started).
