The sly humor and banter between the couple continues - and that's what makes this storyline and manga really stand out. Kurosaki still loves to tweak poor Teru and boss her around (though never in the mean way as the protagonists in Hot Gimmick). It's clear Kurosaki is watching over Teru and wants to ensure she's safe (but also keep her near him for personal reasons). It's both tender and witty at the same time.Teru remains a strong person - down to earth but also with a nice dose of optimism and innocence. She's a good foil for the more worldy and troubled Kurosaki. The author resisted the temptation to turn her soft now that she has feelings for Kurosaki/Daisy - Teru gives back anything poor Kurosaki can dish out to her. What I really like about the story as it continues is that even when they are teasing/annoying each other on purpose, beneath the speech bubbles is a continuing dialogue of how they really feel. There is a lot of wonderful pathos in this series. The plot continues: Teru and Kurosaki are becoming even closer. But Teru now knows that he is her beloved Daisy. Kurosaki must have a strong reason not to tell her he is daisy - and that makes Teru fearful that if she revealed she knows his identity, he'd disappear. But it is difficult now to continue to write to Daisy and pretend she doesn't know who he is. In an interesting twist, Teru did tell "Daisy" that she likes Kurosaki. So in a way, Kurosaki knows she has feelings for him but can't do anything since she told "Daisy". It's quite fun and Motomi really milks the situation for all it is worth.Old rivals come back - they aren't forgotten in the storyline. Class President, her ill fated relationship with the computer teacher, and Teru's other friends have more parts to play in the storylines in this book (they are also even told about Kurosaki's secret!). As well, Kurosaki's group including Rio and the chief continue to develop their history and storylines. There's still a lot of mystery around Kurosaki's group and the answers are doled out quite sparingly. The author has done a great job of continuing to build Teru's world buts he doesn't get sidetracked by the other storylines. This still remains one of my all time favorite series. I wish more shoujo manga had this mix of humor, wit, and tenderness.
